‘Cell Phone Towers’ play an integral part in the coverage for wireless coverage.
Cell
towers or Cell
Phone Towers are core to the
functionality of cell/pcs networks and
phones. However,
many of the locations used to improve coverage
are not towers at all, but rather Rooftop
Sites or Disguised
Sites. Good or bad coverage
depends on the location of these sites,
which include towers, rooftops and disguised
sites, in relation to where you need to
use them.
As long as you’re using your wireless phone in an area where your carrier has a Site, your phone should work (barring any site or handset equipment problems).
Whenever you lose your connection or are not able to get a signal, you’re most likely out of range of the next closest site. The DROP ZONES can sometimes be corrected by the addition of a new site, which is why the information you submit is needed. Once a location is identified as a DROP ZONE, carriers and other resources can work to resolve the DROP ZONE.
Cellcoverage.com was established to give you, the cell/pcs phone users, a web-based method for reporting areas of poor or non-existent wireless coverage. The information submitted through this site will be provided to the appropriate wireless carriers and other groups responsible for improving the coverage of wireless networks throughout the United States.
