This area is becoming increasingly inhabited and needs some sort of coverage soon. Yes, it is still considered rural, but is so close to New York state that it is becoming more and more troublesome for those travelling for work from Pennsylvania. Car accidents and other circumstances involving being stranded is particularly troublesome and worrisome for this "rural" community. Service, especially with Verizon, is supposed to be so very extensive and such companies pride themselves on this issue. Well, homeowners in this area have learned to roll their eyes at this erroneous claim.
